The course includes learning methods such as podcasts, case studies, and two brief assignments over 6 weeks of self-timed learning. The course will add value for learner’s organisations in several ways, including: One of the exercises entails producing a detailed map of a product supply chain - the product being either one that the organisation is already engaged in producing or sourcing, or another one of interest. The course leads up to an assignment which is to produce a policy for sourcing sustainable products, which can be considered for practical use by the organisation. If there are several learners from the same organisation they can focus on different products or supply chains for this exercise, to maximise the value for their organisations. Content covers international trends and the key drivers in sustainable sourcing, explores proven models for integrating sustainability into the sourcing process, and supplements participants’ knowledge of supply chain sustainability through podcasts by executives with sustainable sourcing experience and real-world industry examples of initiatives.
